"Michelle Abad plays Rosie, and is one of the engines that make this baby run. Her scene where she dismantles a wedding chapel in pursuit of her man is one of the show’s best moments...Rosie and Tanya are great together, but they are also superb individually, and deserve the wild applause they received at the end of the night." - Kim Hastings, Drama In the Hood

"Michelle Abad was a real-life Chelshee Madshen in the flesh, ’nuff said" Tony Gavilanes, Copious Love

"I also appreciated Michelle Abad’s precociousness as Logainne Schwartz and Grubenierre" Michael Moore,The Kitsap Sun

Michelle is a Bremerton native who started her vocal career like many others, singing in church.  After graduating high school, she sharpened her vocal skills at Central Washington University, where she studied Vocal Performance under Dr. Gayla Blaisdell.  Though operatically trained, her powerful "Diva" belt is where she feels most at home, winning the role of The Dragon in Shrek: The Musical and Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors.

"Ryan McCabe and Michelle Abad, as Donna's best buds and former bandmates, both are in good voice and good fooling" - Michael Moore, The Kitsap Sun

"And they get good treatment from Paradise's collection of voices, headed up by Abad's fiercely funny work on "Forever"" Michael Moore, The Kitsap Sun

"Michelle Abad giving tremendous voice to an immense, wing flapping pink puppet" Michael Moore, The Kitsap Sun

When Michelle is not performing, she spends much of her time teaching students of all ages. Michelle is also available for private voice lessons in Kitsap County, and is currently accepting new students of any level.  Feel free to email any inquiries on lessons or any other questions here

"Fortunately, there are enough big singers in McKiernan’s cast that the blast from starboard doesn’t often present a problem. The doo-wop chorus (Erin Abbott, Michelle Abad and Bethany Hodges) have plenty of vocal oomph" said Michael Moore from The Kitsap Sun

Michelle is a proud member of Theater Puget Sound since 2014.
